Membership Charges

You will need to be a member of both the Diving Club and BSAC.  The maximum annual cost whilst training for full adult membership is £273.00, for a joint member £254.50 and for students in full time education £209.50.  This includes Club & BSAC membership, equipment & books.

Please see below for a breakdown of the typical first year costs to achieve Ocean Diver Level.


Annual Club Fees

Adult £100.00 & Student £65.00

BSAC Fees Adult £60.00, Joint Member £41.50 & Student £31.50 (see below for further information)    


Books (Including Decompression Tables) £63.00


Equipment & contribution to servicing costs  £50.00 (Adult) £50.00 (Student)

(Students will need to purchase, from a local Dive Shop, their own webbing belt and lead weights)


Plus a non-cashed £500 deposit cheque


Each additional level of training will incur a subsequent cost for the materials, currently around £48 per pack

Members may also need to budget for a medical to check their fitness to dive, most people need only sign a self declaration certificate however some illnesses need to be referred to a medical referee.
